Kaspars Ādamsons
(1985) graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, gaining master’s degree in music – choral conducting (A. Veismanis class). During his studies, he mastered his skills in conducting with professor Erik van Nevel, expert of ancient music, at the Faculty of Music, Performing Arts and Education of the “Hogeschool voor Wetenschap & Kunst” (Lemmensinstituut Leuven). In 2011, Kaspars graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater (Eesti Muusika-ja Teatriakadeemia) obtaining a master's degree in orchestral conducting (prof. Paul Mägi's class).
Presently, Kaspars Ādamsons is the artistic director of mixed choir  "Sōla” of the Latvian Academy of Culture and mixed choir “Sēja” of Sēja district. As of 2009, Kaspars is the chief conductor of choirs and vocal ensembles in Limbažu district. Besides working with choirs, he is also the artistic director of ancient music ensemble “Modus Vivendi” and a vocalist in vocal jazz group “Singit”.
On several occasions Kaspars Ādamsons has cooperated with Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra, the United Riga Music Schools Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, as well as the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.
In July, 2010 Kaspars was one of the head conductors for the X School Youth Song and Dance Festival.

Presently Kaspars is mastering his skills of orchestral conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (Kungliga Musikhögskolan) with professors Daniel Harding, Cecilia Rydinger Alin and B. Tommy Andersson.

   
His numerous achievements include:

Year 2009, second-place finalist at the Jāzeps Vītols 4th International Choral Conductors Competition, Riga, Latvia.
Year 2008, award for a remarkable debut at the Choir Contest “Song Battles” of the XXIV All-Latvian Song festival, Riga, Latvia.
Year 2007, special conductor’s prize for the best artistic performance at the 1st International Choir Competition “Music Inspiration Landscape 2007”, Riga, Latvia.
Year 2007, the best choir conductor award at the International Choir Competition “Silver bells 2007”, Daugavpils, Latvia.
Year 2006, finalist’s diploma at the International Choral Conductors Competition “Eric Ericson Award 2006”, Stockholm, Sweden.
Year 2005, first-place winner at the International Choral Conducting Competition “Towards the Polyphony”, Wroclaw, Poland.
Year 2005, the best choir conductor award at the “Emīls Dārziņš International Choir Competition”, Riga, Latvia.
Year 2005, award for the best interpretation of compulsory piece (Pēteris Vasks “Mother Sun”) in the second round and the Latvian Radio Choir award for professional work at the International Choral Conductors Competition “Rīga 2005”, Riga, Latvia.
Year 2003, third-place finalist at the Choral Conducting Competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Latvian composer Helmers Pavasars, Riga, Latvia.
