conductor - Kaspars Vēvers Kaspars Vēvers (1985) began his musical training at Nīcgale Elementary School, where he took singing lessons, and at Špoģi Music and Art School, where he learned the accordion play. In 2005, Kaspars graduated the Jāzeps Mediņš Music School, where he studied choral conducting with Roberts Liepiņš. After having completed his bachelor studies at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music with lecturer Sigvards Kļava, Kaspars currently studies for a master’s degree with lecturer Andris Veismanis. Kaspars Vēvers began his choral music training while singing in the Nīcgale Elementary School Choir, yet his first mixed choir, whom he joined in 2002, turned out to be choir "Sōla". As of 2006, Kaspars is both a vocalist and a conductor at "Sōla". He is also the artistic director of mixed choir "Skulte," based in Limbaži region, and a singer in mixed vocal quartet "The Sharks" of Ilūkste Cultural Centre. On a daily basis, Kaspars enjoys riding around town on his bicycle. |
